Need A White Card To Work

In The Construction Industry?

White Card is an advocate of companies that offer online or classroom training for construction workers who want to secure their White Card licences. You may have to do some research as not all White Card training companies are the same and prices and services offered may vary.

White Card training companies, like our preferred supplier, have years of experience and can help you secure your card in order for you to work at construction job sites. Click on the right to find out more.

Before contacting a White Card training company, please consider the following points:

1. What does White Card training course involve?

There is no specific construction job that is limited from acquiring this kind of training.  Due to the nature of the industry, many contractors and professions may be involved at any given time with a site.

2. What do I need to bring to the White Card training course?

Proof of identity is required in order for you to complete the course.
There are 100 points of identification required for application to the course and all these documents must be current. Some of these documents include your birth certificate, passport, citizenship certificate, utility bills, firearms licence, drivers licence, and Property (council) rates notice.

3. Why do I need to secure a White Card (Green Card)?

In order to work on a construction job site, or in any trade position in Australia, all on-site workers must carry a current Occupational Health and Safety Certificate, commonly known as the “White Card”. There are significant fines that an employer will be charged with should they have staff onsite who are not in possession of this card.  Employers will also not consider anyone for a job should they fail to produce this important document.

4. Can a high school student secure this kind of card?

Yes. Anyone over the age of 14 can complete the White Card training course. For Secondary School students, the point system does not apply. The identity of a student can be verified by presenting one of these three documents – Birth Certificate, Citizenship Certificate, or Drivers Licence/ Learner Drivers Licence.
